A System That Needs No Grand Master

In the morning, a person pays a loan installment; during the day, they listen to a politician’s promises; in the evening, they read a headline that explains to them what they just saw. They believe that these four things — money, politics, the judiciary, and the mainstream media’s “truth” — live in separate rooms. They do not. They breathe in the same house, eat at the same table, and protect each other when someone asks too loudly whose favor the game is actually played in.

Looking at this picture through a prism reveals not a failed state, but something much more cunning: a system that works just well enough to survive, and poorly enough to keep people bitter, burdened with debt, and full of doubt. In the preparation of the 2025 International Rule of Law Report among 143 countries, Estonia was marked in “red” for a decline in judicial independence, problems with court workloads, cuts, the need to strengthen lobbying rules, and shortcomings in anti-SLAPP protection. According to the report, the house is not yet in massive flames, but the wiring is smoldering with a small fire.

This is why Veiko Huuse‘s thought, voiced in Fonte.News, strikes Estonia’s “main nerve”: “We cannot build a new Estonia on the ruins of the old system.” This is not judicial evidence. It is a political diagnosis. And sometimes a diagnosis is painful precisely because it describes an experience more accurately than institutional press releases. Words like “justice,” “pressure,” “SLAPP,” “fear,” “breaking the soul,” and “power dynamic” recur in Fonte.News texts; they do not in themselves prove the existence of hidden elite orders, sects, or secret corporations, but they do show that the crisis of trust is real and emotional.

This story will not invent new lies. There is no need. Because sometimes the most dangerous thing is not a single secret brotherhood, but a system that produces the effect of a secret sect even when an oath is not taken by candlelight, but in an office, at a meeting, on the phone, and in quiet mutual understanding.

Money That Is Born From Debt

First, money. Not to explain away the single source of evil in the whole world, but to name the mechanism by which modern man is silenced. Official central banks have stated this main point themselves: the majority of today’s money is created when a commercial bank grants a loan. When a bank issues a loan, it simultaneously creates a deposit; when the loan is repaid, that money disappears. This is how both the 2014 central bank explanation and the 2024 eurozone explanation describe it. Money is therefore not simply “there”; it is largely born out of debt.

This is where the dependence begins, which people like to call normality. If most money is created through borrowing, the center of society inevitably shifts to one where a person chases not only a salary but also interest. They no longer work just for bread; they work for a balance sheet that does not belong to them. A recent survey on public trust directly links lower trust in the government to a sense of financial insecurity and political powerlessness. In other words: a person does not have to read a single conspiracy theory to perceive that the system is against them. It is enough that they live within it.

And then comes the market. Not a mystical altar “driven by intelligence data,” but an accelerated machine of information asymmetry. In 2026, the European Securities and Markets Authority wrote outright that algorithmic trading poses specific risks to market integrity and orderly trading. American regulators had already penalized a firm that used high-frequency algorithms to distort the closing prices of tens of thousands of stocks. That is: an algorithm is not a neutral angel. It is leverage. And leverage always amplifies the one who has access, volume, speed, and frontline (secret) information.

There is no need to claim that the market moves at every step based on “intelligence channels.” The facts are sufficient for a more sober claim: markets react to political messages with violent speed, and that is precisely why the question “who knew what and when” always becomes critical. In April 2025, a single announcement of a tariff pause was enough for Wall Street to have one of its most powerful rally days; in 2026, the head of the European Securities and Markets Authority said that abrupt market movements immediately draw attention to potential insider trading. This is not complete proof of an imagined secret order. It is proof that today’s market is more sensitive to a political phrase, an information leak, and reaction speed than a small investor likes to admit.

Politics That Rewards Proximity

Politics does not survive on pretty sentences. Politics survives on access — who gets in, who gets to hear first, who can later leave for a good position, and who is left outside waiting for an explanation. The 2026 international review of corruption and integrity states this drily: lobbying safeguards must prevent “asymmetrical or undue influence” on policymaking, yet lobbying remains one of the most weakly regulated areas of integrity. In the same report, an average of 49% of respondents said they considered it likely that a political favor would be granted in exchange for a well-paid private-sector job, and 43% believe that the government might accept corporate demands even if they are harmful to society. This is not a secret ritual. It is a measured level of distrust.

This same grey area is clearly visible in Estonia’s own picture. The 2025 Rule of Law Report notes that all parliamentary parties agreed to create a lobbying framework in parliament, government lobbying rules are being evaluated, and discussions are underway to expand “revolving doors” rules. The report even adds that by mid-2025, no steps had been taken towards this expansion. This is one of the purest hallmarks of a modern circle of power: the problem is visible enough to be talked about, but not yet painful enough to be abandoned.

A modern brotherhood does not need to wear an apron or carry a seal. A calendar invite, a former job title, and a phone number that an ordinary citizen cannot call are enough. And it is exactly here that the feeling arises that the visible rich, famous, and highly placed people are simultaneously influential and replaceable. The system does not need geniuses. The system needs roles.

The Court, Where the Process Can Be the Punishment and the Victim Becomes the Casualty

The sharper stories in Fonte.News state what the institutions themselves never articulate: to a person, a court proceeding can feel not like the administration of justice, but like a ritual of subjugation. One such story goes so far as to call the judicial process a “psycho-mystical ritual” meant to reproduce faith in the system’s supremacy; another writes of “breaking the soul” as the pressure that forces a person to abandon their essence. These are hyperbolic, clearly partisan phrasings. But hyperbole becomes impactful in society when it touches a real wound in real life.

This wound is named SLAPP. According to the European Commission, a new framework came into effect in 2024, giving targeted individuals the ability to demand the early dismissal of manifestly unfounded lawsuits and to place the procedural costs on the abusive plaintiff. The sheer fact that such protective measures had to be created says something about the era: the courtroom is not always a temple of truth, but can also be an expensive disciplinary tool. A 2025 European mapping counted 1,303 documented SLAPP cases from 2010–2024, 167 of them in 2024 alone. These lawsuits are no longer exceptional occurrences. They are the “elite’s” working method for silencing and eliminating inconvenient people.

Official sources also say things about Estonia that should send shivers down the spine of anyone who believes that “the court will eventually make a fair decision.” In 2025 investigative reports, 50% of the public and 47% of businesses perceived the independence of courts and judges as “fairly or very good,” both figures having dropped and showing further decline. The same report stated that Estonia had begun adopting the EU anti-SLAPP directive, the Journalists’ Union is acting as a SLAPP contact point, and media pluralism monitoring highlighted a noticeable increase in SLAPP cases. This means that the risk of abusing the process itself has been publicly acknowledged.

Perhaps the most accurate sentence for this chapter is this: you do not always have to lose in court to be punished. It is enough to be dragged for long enough through proceedings, costs, reputational damage, loss of liberty (even if short-term), and nervous burnout. If one person is put on display as a “public hanging,” a hundred onlookers learn to stay silent. In official documents, this is called the “chilling effect.” In everyday parlance, it sounds simpler: fear. However, there are judges outside the “Circle” who silently “look on” at the actions of the “‘Circle’s judges,” and by doing so, they themselves also become “Circle judges.”

The Media, Which Determines What Is Visible

The media does not create the entirety of reality, but it decides what is allowed to appear as reality. The major 2025 news trust report describes a situation where traditional (mainstream media, recognized by the official narrative and the government) media is struggling with low trust, declining engagement, and stagnant subscriptions. At the same time, the audience stated very clearly what they want: impartiality, accuracy, transparency, and more original investigative work “investigating powerful people,” not chasing algorithms for the sake of clicks. When the audience articulates the diagnosis so precisely, it is worth listening to the people.

In Europe, ownership is added to this. The 2026 Media Freedom Report noted that the concentration of media ownership in the European Union increased further in 2025, and the scarcity of owners reduced pluralism and access to balanced information. Regarding Estonia, the 2025 Rule of Law Report notes two truths at once: pressure on public media funding, the issue of market concentration, and a lack of owner transparency are creating tensions. This is the modern invisible hand: there is no need for a single censor when a few (often connected to sects) own the majority of the media and platforms decide what gets noticed at all or fed to the public. In Estonia, the media is concentrated in the hands of 2-3 people, and they belong to the exact same “Circle.”

What does this do to an ordinary person? They see headlines, but not always ownership structures. They hear an “independent” voice, but do not always see the funding, access, or tacit agreements about what stays on the screen and what remains in the drawer. This is how the feeling is born that the visible public sphere is merely a stage, behind which the play is written before the premiere even takes place.

History, Which Repeats Its Trick

If someone says that such an article is too dark and frightening, it is worth opening up history. The Russian Emperor “Alexander II” told the Moscow nobility in 1856 that “it is better to abolish serfdom from above than to wait until it is abolished from below.” That sentence is the manual for an entire era: power yields when forced, and even then, it does so in a way that preserves the basic logic of control. Serfdom was abolished, but not in a way that made dependence disappear overnight.

In America, the same trick happened under a new name after the end of slavery. Black Codes were born out of former slave laws and were designed to restrict the freedom of newly emancipated people and reproduce white supremacy. The chain was removed; the control was written back into the law. This is the old trick of power: gift visible freedom, maintain a hidden brake.

That is why the saying of abolitionist writer Frederick Douglass still sounds so dangerous today: “Power concedes nothing without a demand.” This is not just a moral exclamation. It is a political law of physics. If people accept it, the system tightens. If they demand it, the system adapts — and in the next round, writes the rules more cleverly in its own favor.

The imagery of secret brothers is also not a historical invention out of thin air. Freemasonry really existed as an oath-based brotherhood organized around rituals and secrecy, and in 19th-century America, the fear of its influence even grew into a political movement after the disappearance of William Morgan. The point of history here is not that all threads today lead to the same lodge. The point is harsher: secrecy, influence, and the public’s crisis of trust feed each other very easily. When a person cannot see how decisions are made, they rightly begin to suspect that somewhere there is a circle from which they are excluded.

Boundaries and an Honest Conclusion

This story is intentionally sharp, but I will not do what the system itself loves the most — I will not trade evidence for emotion. I will not present lists of unverified names as the ultimate truth, nor attribute criminal collusion to specific individuals without a public and independently verifiable chain of evidence. Likewise, I did not individually check through all the court files and decisions freely referenced in media channels and archives during this investigation. This boundary must be stated honestly.

However, this boundary is still enough for a very strong conclusion. There is plenty of material from public and authoritative sources to say the following: the majority of money is born through debt; the risks of lobbying and revolving doors are real; court proceedings are used most in Europe to silence speakers acting in the public interest; there has been a major regression in Estonia’s judicial independence; media ownership is concentrating in the hands of a couple of people, and the audience thirsts for more transparency and less performative noise.

If someone wants to call this a “sect,” they are describing a feeling. If given a stricter name, it is a self-protecting system (a Circle – a circle of friends, a brotherhood circle, a ritual circle, or an order circle) that knows how to use money, the legal process (the Judicial system), political access, and media selection in such a way that it survives even when faces change.

And precisely for this reason, it sounds most honest in a single sentence: a new land is not built on old logic. Not because there is an all-controlling high priest in some smoky hall, but because the old logic has learned to live without an altar — in banks, parties, courts, boardrooms, newsrooms, and in people’s fear.

The smaller the state, the stronger the effect of the “Circle” is felt in the management of the State and society, and this is exactly where every human soul needs to think: do they support the “Circle” or not? If you do not support it, what will you do to make the “Circle” fall apart?
