Dear Estonians and Estonian citizens!
Today I stand in front of the monument of the Bronze Soldier. Many do not consider this monument necessary. But for many, this is important, as evidenced by the piles of flowers at its feet.
We know from history that no political intergovernmental union, during the Russian occupation and the European Union, can give people freedom. It is time to form a union between the people of Estonia. Together we will create a sovereign self-sufficient Estonia.
It is spring, the time of nature’s awakening. However, this spring is different from the previous ones. This spring is a time of truth and awakening of humanity. Anything a person can imagine is possible.
Think of clear and wise thoughts, and so it will be.
The Bronze Soldier is a monument created by the Estonian sculptor Enn Roos. It was created as a symbol of freedom or the Monument of the Victory.
Let us think today and hereafter that it is a Monument of the Victor for all of us.
The Bronze Soldier monument was unveiled on Tõnismäe on September 22, 1947.
On April 30, 2007, the Bronze Soldier was brought here to the Tallinn Defense Forces Cemetery. This monument serves as an important reminder to events in history. Each and every one of us has memories and knowledge of these events.
Have we been told the truth about history? Why have there been and continue to be wars, conflicts and what was and is their long-term goal? Who really were and are the masterminds behind these wars, conflicts, plans to change the world?
We know that many innocent people suffered from someone’s greed for money and power.
We also know that we cannot brush the past under the rug.
We know that our lives and our future depend solely on our own actions and responsibilities. The most important thing is to make wise decisions here and now, for the future of ourselves and our children! The most important thing today is cooperation, communication and love.
What kind of future do you want?

All thoughts, words and deeds today determine our present and future.
Please think for a moment in silence of all those people who have lost their lives in wars, conflicts, hunger, poverty and disease.
Now think in the opposite direction, that our lives are free from fears, diseases, wars, conflicts, poverty, lies. We live a harmonious life in happiness and love. Such is free life in Free Estonia.
Forgive yourself and others, be honest with yourself and others, love yourself and others.
We will not allow history to repeat itself and anyone to take away our freedom because of their thirst for money and power. The Estonian people had, have and will have the highest decision-making power! We decide differently now so that freedom, happiness and love will remain in our land forever! Let’s create a Free Estonia, a free world, shoulder to shoulder, regardless of nationality, religion or gender!
Long live friendship, brotherhood and love. Long live Free Estonia. We are all winners!
The time for prejudices, fears, division of nations and peoples is over. We are free people and we have the freedom to recall events, the freedom to express opinions, the freedom to live in a way that respects cultures, customs, and religions of nations if they support the development, sovereignty, integrity and freedom of the people of Estonia. It is spring and it is time to unite nations to work together for a common goal – FREEDOM.
